Opis
Inspired by the reformation of Fluttering Dragon and the release of the monumental 63 Days box set, A Challenge Of Honour decided to return to the studio once more. After years of relative silence, the creative spark was reignited, culminating in a powerful new album: The Devil and His Servants.
Stylistically, this record marks an evolutionary progression from what the project was known for up until 2012. While earlier works leaned heavily on martial industrial, neoclassical, and dark ambient textures, this new offering shifts toward a more guitar-based approach. Without abandoning the signature atmosphere and thematic weight, The Devil and His Servants introduces a rawer, more organic layer to the project’s sonic palette—echoes of past battlefields now resound through strings and amplifiers rather than just orchestral swells and percussive grandeur.
The result is an immersive listening experience where dark narratives, ritualistic undertones, and renewed musicality converge. For long-time followers as well as new listeners, this album feels both familiar and unexpected—a rebirth with the Devil riding shotgun.
