Opis

Camel’s fourth studio album, “Moonmadness,” is back in circulation thanks to Esoteric, a clamshell 2-CD/Blu-ray set. Released in April 1976, “Moonmadness” entered the Top 20 in the UK and several European countries, also achieving success in the US. Featuring songs like “Lunar Sea,” “Air Born,” “Another Night,” and “Spirit of the Water,” it is still considered one of the seminal albums by the Guildford band, then composed of Andrew Latimer (guitars, flute, and vocals), Peter Bardens (keyboards and vocals), Doug Ferguson (bass, vocals), and Andy Ward (drums and percussion). The first CD of this new edition features the remastered album plus four bonus tracks (three demos and the single version of “Another Night”), the second contains a new stereo mix by sound engineer Stephen W Tayler, while the “multi-region” Blu-ray includes the original stereo mix by Ben Wiseman, the stereo and 5.1 Surround mixes made by Tayler and a film with six tracks recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon in London on 14 April 1976. The box set includes a richly illustrated booklet.
