    • Iako je ostala na samo jednog originalnog člana (Roger Earl), grupa Foghat je smogla snage i nakon šest godina izdaje novi album “Under the Influence”. Bio je to nasljednik albuma “Last Train Home”, koji je izdan davne 2010. godine. Sam nastanak albuma nije protekao baš glatko, ali ipak, nakon tri godine je završen. Snimanje je počelo još 2013. godine. U studio je grupa ušla u novom sastavu, Roger Earl, Craig MacGregor, Charlie Huhn i Bryan Bassett. Povremeno se ekipi u studiju pridruživao i Buddy Guy, te Scott Holt, koji je uz sviranje gitare sudjelovao u projektu pišući kompozicije za album. Nije zanemarivo i to da je u studiju bio i Tom Hambridge, producent i kompozitor, dobitnik Grammy nagrade. Na albumu su se našle autorske kompozicije, ali i obrade koje su obilježile životni put grupe, bluesom obojene, boogie ritma i mnogo slide gitare, po čemu su uostalom i postali poznati. Na albumu je isto tako i nova obrada klasika banda, “Slow Ride”, koji bilježi 40 godina od svog nastanka.

    • After a seven-year absence during which the Norwegian pop trio went off to paint or record solo albums, A-Ha return with Minor Earth Major Sky, their sixth studio album. Recorded in New York over the course of a year, this one is filled with characteristically subtle melodies, sweeping pop production, and a haunting melancholy. Some tracks (like the winsome "Sun Never Shone That Day") border on the bland, but there are songs that have bite--such as the icy, William Orbit-style ballad "Little Black Heart"; the big, blowsy title track; and the satirical "The Company Man," where the band sing frankly of being ripped off by their record label ("Deals fell into our arms / And out of our hands"). There's also a nod to the Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" in the epic, socially conscious ballad "Mary Ellen Makes the Moment Count."

    • Twentysomething Dwight Yoakam was literally the new kid in country music when he stepped onto the Austin City Limits stage in October 1988. But even then, as he has ever since, he was doing things his own way. Dwight was born in a small Kentucky town and grew up listening to mountain and bluegrass music, and unlike most of the mainstream country-pop crooners of the eighties, he almost singlehandedly revived the rockabilly/honky tonk/hillbilly sound that was one of the cornerstones of country music’s formative years. Early on he discovered the fabled “Bakersfield” sound of the 60’s and adopted it as his own, in the tradition of country legends Merle Haggard and Buck Owens. Buck, in fact, became his hero and friend. When Dwight was playing a fair in Bakersfield, he stopped by Buck’s office and coaxed him into playing a few songs with him onstage that night. The result was a lasting friendship and their historic duet, “Streets Of Bakersfield.” Much like his heroes, Dwight has been true to his roots and breaking new ground for almost 20 years.
