    • 33 years after their inception, England's PARADISE LOST are not only one of the most influential metal bands in the world and founders of the gothic metal genre, but also among the most varied acts. From death and doom to catchy synth pop hymns, the quintet from Yorkshire never hesitated to cross boundaries and yet always stayed true to themselves. After a spectacular #2 spot in the German album charts with their latest chef-d'oeuvre 'Obsidian', the band now unveils a live album consisting of 16 tracks that cover nearly every style and big hit from their 3-decade-long career. Captured at The Mill Nightclub near the band’s hometown in Yorkshire, England, the recording of the BluRay was directedby Ash Pears, who previously worked with the band on their music videos for ‘Medusa’ and ‘Obsidian’. Mixed by Les Smithand mastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano, the audio version of the show will be available as vinyl and CD. "Due to the ban on live music, we, like many other bands, have had to adapt and do something we never thought we'd have to do”, reflects guitarist and songwriter Greg Mackintosh.“No, not stacking shelves in Aldi like Metallica, but playing a show at a disused mill in Yorkshire with noone else there. We decided against trying to pretend there was an audience in the room with us, opting instead for a rather moribund version of a live lounge show. Whilst never being pleased with anything, we were however slightly less miserable at the result. It was also almost fun playing some of our new album Obsidian within the set for the first time too. A very special limited picture disc version of the 1972 edition of the DAVID BOWIE album retitled as SPACE ODDITY. The picture disc features the iconic Ziggy Stardust era artwork and comes with a replica of the poster which was part of the package at the time. The November 1972 reissue of DAVID BOWIE was released in the wake of Bowie's breakthrough The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars, and in chart terms outstripped the original making No. 17 in the UK chart and No. 16 in the United States. The picture disc features the 2009 40th anniversary remaster of the album which was undertaken to match as closely as possible the original vinyl issue. "David Bowie" aka "Space Oddity" was the second studio album from David Bowie. The album was originally released as a self-titled album, but later released titled "Space Oddity". This album features David Bowie's first hit single, "Space Oddity," and sets the tone for the spacey Ziggy Stardust to come. Space Oddity was a giant leap forward for David Bowie in terms of songwriting as compared to his eponymous debut and it is considered the first truly essential Bowie release. Noted for a list of collaborators, including session players Herbie Flowers, Tim Renwick, Terry Cox and Rick Wakeman, Space Oddity delves into psychedelic folk-rock, as well as prog, with its genre-defying template and it helped create a blueprint that over the next decade would make Bowie the most inimitable British artists.
