SCLAVIS/MOUSSAY – UNFOLDING LP

Description

This is a duo work by French reedist Luis Scravis and Frananan pianist Benjamin Moussay, who was also a member of Scravis’ quartet. The duo, who in recent years have increasingly focused on two-way communication, have given extensive and well-received concerts throughout Europe. In this original program, two thirds of the program features originals by pianist Moussay, and the remaining third features originals by Sclavis. Recorded in March 2024 at Studio La Buissonne in the south of France and produced by Manfred Eicher, the French duo dream up a world of chamber music conversation, juxtaposing lyrical speculation and whimsical ingenuity in a collaboration full of joy and concentration.
