Description

Guitarist Buddy Guy got together with his Chicago blues buddy Junior Wells and added jazz pianist Junior Mance for an “unplugged” session for Blue Thumb Records, 1969. Buddy and the two Juniors were relaxed, cutting familiar tunes like Willie Dixon’s “Hoochie Coochie Man” and improvised originals like “Buddy’s Blues.” In addition, two improvised tracks, “Talkin’ ‘Bout Women Obviously” and “Riffin’,” were recorded in one burst of creative energy, all in an album that is fresh, engaging, and exciting.
