Description
Chet Baker and Paris are terms that, when combined, trigger enthusiasm among jazz connoisseurs. The trumpeter with the melancholy tone and the city of love seemed to have been made for each other when Baker recorded the first of three albums, which have long been regarded as classics, in a Parisian studio as part of his first European tour in October 1955. The first features the highly talented bebop pianist Dick Twardzick as part of his quartet, who died of a heroin overdose a week after the session, aged just 24.
Remastered from the original European analog tapes, 180g pressing, original cover and liner notes.
