The American Murray Perahia, who is one of the greatest pianists of our time, has repeatedly devoted his career to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, who, alongside Johann Sebastian Bach, is probably one of the most important composers for him.
His most important Mozart recordings include the piano concertos with the English Chamber Orchestra from 1976-88, for which he was also the musical director. This 12-CD box contains all of Mozart’s piano concertos, including Concerto No. 7, K. 242 in the version for 2 pianos and orchestra and Concerto No. 10, K. 365 for 2 pianos and orchestra, which Perahia performs with the Romanian pianist Radu Lupu. The box also contains the Rondo in D major, K. 382 and the Rondo in A major, K. 386 (both for piano and orchestra).

Perahia’s partner at the piano is none other than the Romanian pianist Radu Lupu. The box also contains the Rondo in D major, K. 382 and the Rondo in A major, K. 386 (both for piano and orchestra).
The 12 CDs give an excellent impression of Perahia’s playing culture. After all, it was his interpretations of the piano concertos that impressively established his status as one of the most important Mozart interpreters of our time.
